Musical: Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat

One of the most enduring shows of all time, Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat is a reimagining of the timeless story of Joseph, his father Jacob, eleven brothers and the coat of many colors. Told entirely through song, this rock musical follows Joseph's harrowing life journey as he is betrayed by his brothers and winds up in Egypt, where he quickly finds himself in front of the mighty but troubled, Elvis-inspired Pharaoh! This thrilling musical is full of catchy songs in a variety of styles, from a parody of French ballads, to country-western and even calypso, along with the unforgettable classics "Any Dream Will Do" and "Close Eve..."

Youth Theatre: Shrek

July 21-22 - 2 & 4 p.m. Voorhies Hall

You'll be delighted by the annual youth theatre production. After his swamp is filled with magical creatures, the lovable, grouchy ogre agrees to rescue Princess Fiona for a villainous lord in order to get his land back. Filled with memorable tunes, cuddly characters, and all the energy of an entirely youth-led production. Tickets release July 5 at the box office, in-person sales only.

Opera: Mozart's The Marriage of Figaro

FigaroAugust 2-3: 8 p.m. Hall Auditorium

This fully staged, hilarious production of Mozart's popular opera, accompanied by orchestra, is the only production of its kind in Northern Michigan and is a great evening of entertainment for first-timer and opera aficionado alike.
